Release Date : 12 May June
Hamari Adhuri Kahani has released today with great responsibilities. Firstly its a chance for Mohit Suri to prove his skill in romantic genre again. Then it has responsibility to give a comeback to Emraan and Vidya who have faced numerous flops in recent past. Then Vishesh Films and Fox Star India also need a profitable venture desperately. But will this tale of love find place in people’s hearts just like Mohit’s Aashiqui 2, Murder 2, Aawarapan and other films. Lets checkout..
Mohit’s Aashiqui 2 was loved by people for its simplicity and heart touching dialogues added with great performances by lead pair . Hamari Adhuri Kahani tries to go on same lines but in the try they cross every line and go over the board. While the instinct is to make audience vibrate emotionally, the drama does only one thing and that is to test patience.
The drama is so oldish that its almost impossible to relate with on goings. There is so much suffering and then over the top dialogues and melodramatic behavior of every character which makes you feel tired even before the film is half over. Worse fact is that film gets slower in second half and makes it practically impossible to sit through.
Emraan Hashmi does fine job but doesn’t create any impact on audience’s mind. Vidya Balan acts well but character is so over the top that you don’t relate with it. Rajkumar Rao is good in small role. Madhurima Tuli, Namit Das, Suhasini Mooley, Saara Khan does fairly okey job in cameos.
Mohit Suri disappoints big time and gives film which is far away from a good watch. Cinematography and Music is only good thing.
Overall, Hamari Adhuri Kahani tests patience and hence will not attract enough audience. The film is going to be just another Flop of 2015.
